Beautiful Brother and Sister
I love the first one. I love it because i know something you don't. I know what they are smiling at, and it is so sweet. It's their Daddy. The way they look at him, nobody else looks at you that way.... the moms and dads out there know what I'm talking about.
Anyway....little "S" (the boy), absolutely wanted nothing to do with me. But with the help of Mom and Dad, we were able to wrangle a couple out of him. As far as his Sister "C", she was ready for her photoshoot. Both these children are absolutely gorgeous with perfect golden skin. A Photographers dream......

Sometimes ya gotta learn the hard way....
I do apologize for not posting for awhile. My computer "crashed" in a sense, and i lost everything on my desktop. I tried and tried to recover the files, but they are lost. I always back up my files after i process them, unfortunately, i had a few projects that were unprocessed. So, i guess i learned my lesson the hard way.

Don't miss your opportunity........
I, along with 4 other photographers will be part of a Photo Event fundraiser this Saturday. It is an awesome deal, especially if you know what my regular prices are:). Don't miss your opportunity to catch me at a great price! The fundraiser is for something that is close to my heart, MOPS. It stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. It is a group of Moms who get together to share and learn how to raise our children, to the best of our ability. No appointment necessary, just show up between 10am and 5pm. See you there, remember, it's for a good cause!!!
I have had a few questions regarding what should i wear for my photosession? Keep it simple!
My motto in clothing is this: simple goes a long way! I like to keep the focus on the subject; therefore, simple clothing choices are best for creating timeless portraits.
I suggest loose fitting solid colors, avoiding busy patterns or logos/words. Blue's Clues is cute for playtime, but can look out of place for your child's portraits. Jeans, overalls, sun/slip dresses; khakis are classics and photograph well. I especially like boys in jeans and plains tees, and girls in simple sundresses; weather permitting of course.
Hats can also be very effective; as well as other accessories such as scarves or funky belts. If children are being photographed together, clothes that are similar in style give a more coordinated look. Bare feet are especially fun, and kids love it too. If shoes are preferred, please make sure they are in good shape, and not scuffed. Consider dressing in the color white sparingly, for this color often reflects light strongly.

If anyone has any pictures that they took at the party, please send them my way!!!!! F.Y.I - Every single picture on this post was taken with a point and shoot camera. In case you wondered:)

I am so proud!!!!!
Chris graduated with his Masters Degree yesterday. That alone is a huge accomplishment, but the night before graduation we were invited to an awards dinner for the University. When we got there we were seated at a "Reserved" table, and everyone else could sit where they wanted. Hmmm. So when the awards started, Chris was announced as the recipient of the "Blake academic award of excellence" for having the highest cumulative GPA upon graduation. Oh my gosh!!! He was so surprised. He kinda laughed out loud. He was also recognized as being on the national deans list for all consecutive semesters and also in "Who's Who among college students" . What an awesome surprise! He worked so hard, and we really struggled through his Graduate education, and he still had the highest GPA. I am sooooooo proud of you honey!

Our little houdini!
Jonathan is 18 months old, and can get into any cabinet with a child proof lock, climb over any child gate, and finally climb out of the crib whenever he wants. A few nights ago he decided it was not night night, came out of the crib and out into the living room about TEN TIMES! I was going insane. He, of course, thought it was pretty funny. Well he's not laughing anymore. I went out the next day and bought the crib tent, and he is not happy! But at least i know he is not going to fall out in the middle of the night, or wander the house getting into god knows what. Kelsey thinks it is the coolest thing, but she doesn't have to sleep in it :).

Family Camp!
Our Churchs' Annual Family Camp is held down in San Diego. Unfortunately Chris had to work and could not join us, so i hauled the kids down there and flew solo. Luckily for me, the Smart family was very helpful to us and helped sooooo much! Kyle even cooked for us, took Kelsey on a bike Ride, swimming and even taught her to pee in the pool, thanks Kyle!:). Thanks Smart Family, we had a great time!!!
Cheetos for breakfast, only at family camp!
Jonathan and his friend Chase, they are 1 day apart, how fun!
The bike ride. At one point i think there were 10 people on this bike. What a workout! Jonathan and Sophia look like twins, they are dressed alike.

We are also preparing for Chris' graduation from graduate school in only 12 days!!!!! WOOHOOO! Can you tell im excited????
Kelseys' Birthday this year was at "PUMP IT UP!". I wasn't so sure if it was such a hot idea when i booked the party, but OH MY GOSH was it fun!! I highly recommend this place to everyone, especially at this age. The kids had a blast, and boy were they exhausted afterwards! The best part was the staff there did EVERYTHING! Glitter Glam........
This Saturday was our churchs' annual Glitter Glam Extravaganza! Oh My Gosh!!! It was an awesome time, and the girls had a blast!! They got their hair, makeup, and nails done. They made their own lip gloss, got face jewels, princess tattoo's, made jewelry, got goodie bags, and at the end of the night, walked the cat walk! Their were around 135 little girls who got to experience glitter glam. This was not the place for the obsessive compulsive, little girls running around everywhere, glitter flying, boas waving, and 135 sassy little girls!
No boys allowed! So we appropriately had "chick" fil a. get it???
Kelsey brought her best friend Jessika.
The girls walking the cat walk. They asked each girl random questions about themselves, Kelsey was asked what was the best part about being a girl?? She said, "being romantic". That about sums up my little princess, a hopeless romantic!

Brooklynn, Jessika's little sister. She was a teenie wahine for the night. A hawaiian princess.
For the finale there was a Hannah Montana impersonator, AKA Alisha. Kelsey really thinks she met Hannah Montana. She can't stop talking about her.

New Years Eve 2007
New Years Eve was spent at our house. A few of our friends came over with their kids so that the kids could get crazy, and we dont have to worry about getting a table for 20. We had Lucilles BBQ. MMMMM... The guys sat outside with a fire pit, and the ladies had fun inside. We had cocktails, a chocolate fondue fountain (of course!), played the WII, which is awesome, and just had fun. The girls all played dress up, and tortured poor Logan, who was the only boy besides Jonathan. We had so much fun, and all the kids were still awake at midnight, except of course Jonathan.
Poor tim's wife was sick, so mike filled in

time for a huuuuge post!
The holidays were craaaaazy! They absolutely flew by. Here is a brief synopsis of what went on.
We went to disneyland with the Smarts! We had and awesome time. It was so nice to for Kelsey to spend time with other girls who are daredevils, just like her! She especially had fun with Gracie, who is just a bit older than her. Small world and the princess' castle were absolutely amazing! It was so much better in person, the pics do not do it justice!

This year we went to see the lights on Thoroughbred, but instead of walking, we took chris' parents golf cart, all decked out in xmas lights. The kids loved it!!

I had to work christmas eve, which is traditionally spent opening presents at Chris' parents house. So when i arrived, the kids were barely awake, and chomping at the bit to open their presents!

It has become a tradition at our house that we buy a family ornament each year, so here is our 2007 Ornament.
So under out tree this year was a big tricked out wagon, it even has a lift on the back for a cooler! This was a gift to the kids from the Hale family. Dave Hale actually won it at a golf tournament, and gave it to the kids. Isn't that sooo generous! Thanks to the Hales!

Christmas morning, and Christmas dinner were at our house this year. That was alot of work. Chris cooked breakfast for the entire family, and kelsey patiently waited until 10:00AM to open her presents. She is such a good girl. Then we cleaned up and got ready for dinner. I absolutely love my crystal glasses at christmas time. They were a gift from my mom a few years back, and i get so happy when i get to take them out and use them.

Jonathan trying to box like his aunt and uncle, everyone loves the WII!!!!!
So thats it for this post, next post, New Years eve!!!

Kelsey has been so sweet helping me play with some new equipment i got for christmas. She is so well trained and very patient for me. I am very happy with my new toys. No, she is not wearing makeup, it kinda looks like it, but that comes from the cross processing i do to the images. Thanks Princess Kelsey!

I love my wedding dress Mommy!!!!!!
For christmas, Kelsey got bride in a box. Basically, everything you need to dress up as a bride. Even a garter belt. hmm, i took that away, she didn't notice. She absolutely loves dressing up on a daily basis. Anyway, today she was wearing it all, and wanted her picture taken in it. What kind of photographer, um, i mean mother would i be if i didn't oblige her wishes??? So, painfully, i took her picture. Mommy got a new toy for christmas, a new flash. Lovin it!!!!

Stay tuned for all the christmas pics, i'm still going through them all. Yikes!!!!!
